Sarawak DUN sitting from Nov 21-30

KUCHING, Nov 20: The Third Session of the First Term of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting will commence for eight days from Nov 21 until Nov 30, 2022.

DUN Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar today said there would only be a morning session for the first day of sitting on Nov 21 and no sittings on the weekends (Nov 26 and 27).


The question and answer sessions will be held for four days, starting Tuesday (Nov 22) until Friday (Nov 25), while debate sessions will be carried out from Nov 23 to 30.

“The total number of questions received from the honourable members as of the closing date on Monday (Nov 7) is 286 questions. Both oral and written replies were received from 39 honourable members.

“Of these 286 questions, 223 for oral replies were submitted by 38 honourable members and 63 for written replies were submitted by 47 honourable members.

“The Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak received the most number of questions at 48 questions,” said Asfia at a press conference held at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters here today.

As of Nov 11, 10 days before the sitting, Asfia also said the DUN secretary had received zero private motions from the assemblymen.
