Sarawak Covid-19 (Nov 20, 2021): 255 new cases, 4 deaths

KUCHING, Nov 20: Sarawak has recorded 255 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths today.

According to State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), 248 cases were in Categories 1 and 2 while the remaining seven were in Categories 3, 4, and 5.


Further breaking it down, there were 85 cases Category 1 and 163 cases in Category 2, three cases in Category 3, one case in Category 4, and three cases in Category 5.

In terms of districts, Kuching remained at the top registering 76 cases, followed by Miri (47), Bintulu (21), Sibu (19), and Serian (16).

The rest with new infections included Lawas (9 cases), Bau, Subis (6 cases each), Simunjan (5 cases), Lundu, Pusa, Matu (4 cases each), Sarikei, Saratok, Dalat (3 cases each), Mukah, Limbang, Betong, Meradong, Tebedu (2 cases each), Sri Aman, Kapit, Song, Asajaya, Belaga, Kabong, Kanowit, Selangau, Telang Usan, Beluru and Sebauh (one case each).

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak thus increased to 249,091 as of this day.

Meanwhile, SDMC also reported four new deaths that occurred on Nov 13, 16, 17, and 19 (one death on each day).

The four cases from Bintulu, Sri Aman, Sibu, and Limbang were aged between 41 and 71.

There were no new clusters or new cases traced back to any existing clusters today.

Sarawak is, as of this day, left with only six active clusters. — DayakDaily
