Sarawak Covid-19 caseloads down by half today, Kuching records 5 and Sibu 1

KUCHING, Jan 16: The number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak has dropped by half to only six today, with Kuching taking up five and Sibu one.

In terms of clinical categories, five were in Category 1 with no symptoms, while the remaining one was in Category 2 with mild symptoms.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State now stands at 252,600.

Meanwhile, one Covid-19 death involving an 81-year-old male was recorded in Kuching yesterday.

The patient had comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia.

No new Covid-19 clusters were reported today. — DayakDaily
