Sarawak Bomba Zone 3 personnel treated to breaking of fast

SRI AMAN, May 26: In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, a group of firefighters and officers from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 3 were treated to a ‘buka puasa’ feast recently.

Hosted by Pertubuhan Wartawan Bebas Kuching (Pewarta), the event was attended by the men in red from Sri Aman, Saratok and Betong fire stations.


Thanking Pewarta for the event, Bomba Zone 3 chief Nik Muhammad Afiq Nik Roslan said the department and media have always worked together hand-in-hand.

“The media plays an important role in disseminating the right information to the public. We hope that this will continue and there will more activities and collaborations in the future,” Nik Muhammad Afiq said.

Representing Pewarta, Alice Wee said the event is in line with the association’s commitment to serve and foster ties not only among its members but also the community.

“We want to show our appreciation to members of Bomba who have never failed do everything and anything with their lives on the line. Not only that, when it comes to the media, they have never failed to provide information and assistance whenever needed. As Ramadhan is a time to give back, this is a good time for us to do so,” Wee said. — DayakDaily
