KUCHING, May 30: Sarawak-based Muay Thai fighter Muhammad Johan Ghazali once again showcased his exceptional skills by delivering a stunning performance and knocking out his opponent at the ONE Championship in Thailand on May 26.

According to Bernama, the 16-year-old, popularly known as Jojo who represents the Rentap Muay Thai Club based in Kuching here, displayed remarkable composure despite being provoked by his opponent, who repeatedly taunted him by sticking his tongue out.

With an awe-inspiring knockout blow, the young Malaysian fighter left the audience captivated, leaving his opponent, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion at the age of 24, astonished and unable to continue.

Even a bleeding cut on Johan’s head did not deter him, as he unleashed a devastating left hook-right overhand combination that left his opponent incapacitated.

For his consecutive knockout victories, Johan earned 350,000 baht (RM46,000).

He aspires to secure the esteemed ONE Championship contract worth US$100,000 (RM460,553) and clinch the highly coveted championship belt.

In his promotional debut in February, Johan amazed fans by knocking out his 18-year-old Thai opponent, Padetsuk Fairtex, in just 16 seconds during their flyweight Muay Thai clash.

Johan expressed his gratitude to his parents for their unwavering support throughout his six-year journey, acknowledging their pivotal role in his success.
