KUCHING, May 4: Sarawak is allowing Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations to be held over a one week period but limited to close family members only.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) announced this decision in its daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak today.
“For Hari Raya, celebration is allowed from first to seventh day only and is limited to close family members only,” the statement said.
This year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri will fall on May 13.
SDMC disclosed that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guideline for the celebrations can be found on the Sarawak Islamic Council’s website at https://mis.sarawak.gov.my/.
However, upon checking by DayakDaily, the SOPs have not been uploaded to the site as at press time. — DayakDaily
