KUCHING, Dec 12: Authorities have launched a search and rescue (SAR) operation for a 54-year-old man reported missing in a farmland in Limbang.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations center, a report of the incident was received at 8.24am today, prompting the deployment of a team from Bomba Limbang to the location.
The missing individual, identified as Wislie Lahap from Kampung Pahlawan, Limbang, was last seen leaving his village on Dec 10 at 5.15pm to visit a nearby area but failed to return home.
Today’s SAR operation includes personnel from the police, Malaysia Civil Defence Department (APM), and Bomba.
The search is focused within a one-kilometer radius from the location where the man was believed to have gone missing. — DayakDaily
