TATAU, Nov 8: The search and rescue (SAR) operations for Augustine Masir, 32, has been suspended after four days after no development of his whereabouts were found.
According to the Bintulu Fire and Rescue chief Unjar Lum, the operation had focused in areas spanning a 13-kilometre radius from the location where the victim was reported to be missing.
“Following a discussion and agreement with the police and the Civil Defense Force (APM), together with the victim’s family members Lanting Saet (stepfather) and Bintang Rengkang (mother), the operation has been postponed until further sign or developments have been found,” he said.
However, Unjar said that a woman from a nearby longhouse of Rh Kennedy in Sungai Entajum, claimed to have seen the victim walking along the road near their village.
