SAR efforts still on for 61-year-old crocodile victim in Pusa

KUCHING, July 3: Search and Rescue (SAR) efforts for the missing victim who was dragged off by a crocodile at Sungai Undey Tambak, Pusa entered into its second day on Friday.

The 61-year-old victim was dragged off by the crocodile while he was tying branches together on Thursday at 3pm together with his three friends. One of the victim’s friend saw the victim being attacked and dragged away by the crocodile.


According to a statement from State Bomba Operation Centre, the SAR team had continued their search in the 1-kilometer radius from the scene. Bomba together with some agencies had used a smaller boat for the search for the victim as the search went up into small river streams.

The victim is yet to be located and the search is still ongoing.—DayakDaily
