Santubong residents advised to store enough water in view of supply disruption on July 5-6

The notice on the scheduled water disruption in Santubong on July 5 and 6.

KUCHING, June 30: Residents in Santubong have been advised to store enough water for consumption and use between July 5 and 6 due to a scheduled disruption to facilitate upgrading works at Samariang booster pump station.

The areas affected are along Jalan Sultan Tengah, including Bandar Baru Semariang, Kampung Rampangi, Jalan Pasir Pandak, Kampung Sg Batu, Kampung Sg Bedaun, Kampung Sg Lumut, Kampung Buntal, Kampung Sg Jaong and Kampung Santubong.

In a notice, Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Kuching said the scheduled disruption is to enable the installation of a 700mm pipe at the Samariang booster pump station.


JBALB disclosed connection works will start on July 6 from 10pm to 5pm, with recovery time for water supply scheduled from 5am to 10am.

It hoped to ensure that the disruption will be resolved soonest possible and apologised to the community affected for all the inconveniences caused.
