KUCHING, July 11: The Samarahan Family Run 2024, scheduled for Nov 10, aims to raise public awareness about the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system in Kota Samarahan.
Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman Dato Peter Minos announced today that the event is expected to draw 2,000 participants and will commence at 6.30am.
“The aim of this programme is to strengthen family bonds, foster multi-racial harmony, and encourage healthy living in Samarahan,” Minos stated during a press conference at the MPKS headquarters in Kota Samarahan.
“Additionally, this programme aims to create awareness of the first ART service to Samarahan in December 2025.”
The Samarahan Family Run 2024 will start at MakanSari Food Street at Aiman Eastment. Participants can choose between two categories: a three-kilometer run with a fee of RM30 and a five-kilometer run with a fee of RM40.
