SAINS, Bluesify collaborate to strengthen Sarawak’s cybersecurity infrastructure

KUCHING, July 3: Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS) and Bluesify Solutions Sdn Bhd (Bluesify) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities and accelerate the development of digital talent in Sarawak.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), SAINS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan said both parties will implement advanced cyber detection and response solutions using artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies.

These solutions are capable of providing a comprehensive threat picture while prioritising data sovereignty, security, and regulatory compliance.

The MoU signing ceremony was officiated by SAINS chief executive officer Busiai Seman and Bluesify managing director Izman Ibrahim while witnessed by Dr Chan.

Dr Chan emphasised that this strategic collaboration will be a catalyst for building a stronger, more resilient and trusted Sarawak digital ecosystem.

“Today’s collaboration with Bluesify Solutions marks a strategic partnership that will strengthen Sarawak’s cybersecurity capabilities, which is an important core in building a resilient and trusted digital ecosystem,” he said.

This collaboration is also in line with the aspirations of Sarawak’s Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) which recognises cybersecurity as a key element in driving economic growth, innovation and digital confidence.

“By strengthening cybersecurity resilience and workforce capacity, we will accelerate Sarawak’s journey towards a safe, sustainable and digitally advanced economy, ready to seize new opportunities in the post-pandemic era,” he added.

He reaffirmed SAINS’ commitment to leading Sarawak’s digital future through innovative technology, towards sustainable development and inclusive growth.

This MoU is expected to open a new chapter in strengthening the State’s cybersecurity infrastructure as well as expanding career opportunities in the digital field for local talents. – DayakDaily
