SAFF 2023 Miri expected to generate RM500k in revenue with 20k visitors

KUCHING, Feb 17: Sarawak Fama Fest 2023 (SAFF2023) Miri is expected to welcome over 20,000 visitors and make RM500,000 in revenue.

Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority(FAMA) Sarawak deputy director (operation) Ramli Mat Sani said the main objective of the festival is to promote local producers of agro-based products and fresh agriculture products to local Mirians and the nearby country of Brunei.


“We also promote among others, our agro-bazaar online portal and FAMA’s responsibilities in marketing agriculture producers in Malaysia,” he said.

“SAFF 2023 will see the participation of some 40 members of the agro-based business community from Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia.

“SAFF2023 will not only sell agro-based products, but also fresh agriculture produce,” he added at the press conference for the event.

He said that the festival will also see invited foreign agro-based product importers from Thailand, Brunei and Hong Kong.

“There will be a lot of community based activities, entertainment and seminars for selected agro-based producers,” he revealed.

SAFF 2023 will be held from Feb 23-26 at Bintang Mega Mall Miri from 10am to 10pm and is expected to be officiated by Deputy Minister Of Agriculture and Food Security Chan Foong Hin. — DayakDaily
