In his farewell speech, Che Ghazali described the handover as more than just a change of duties, but as the passing on of a trust laden with responsibility and hope for the future of the Sarawak GOF Brigade.

“It is not merely the handover of duties and position but also the transfer of a trust that comes with great responsibility and expectations.

“I would like to record my appreciation to DCP Dato Suzrin (Dato Mohamad Suzrin Mohamad Rodhi), Deputy Director of KDNKA, for the solid support given throughout my tenure in the Sarawak Brigade,” he said, as reported by TVS.

Meanwhile, the new Commander, Lim, expressed his gratitude for the trust given through the official transfer directive received on July 19, 2025.

“Based on the transfer order, I have been entrusted to hold the position of Sarawak GOF Brigade Commander, succeeding the former Commander, YDH DCP Dr Che Ghazali Che Awang,” he said.

He pledged to continue the administrative and operational excellence established by past leaders and to remain committed to safeguarding Sarawak’s security, especially in challenging border areas.

The ceremony also featured the handover of duties for the Sarawak GOF Brigade’s Police Family Association (PERKEP) chairpersonship from outgoing chairperson, Siti Nabihan Che Abdullah, to incoming chairperson, Tan Kha Ching.

The event was witnessed by PERKEP 2 Vice-Chairperson of the PDRM KDNKA Department, Datin Syamson Syuhaila Razali, who expressed hope that the new PERKEP leadership will continue to strengthen welfare roles and support for police personnel and their families.
