Sabah Governor’s wife leads delegation from Sabah to visit Borneo Cultures Museum

KUCHING, Aug 25: Sabah Governor’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Seri Panglima Norlidah RM Jasni continued her official visit to Kuching by leading a delegation from Sabah to visit the Borneo Cultures Museum (BCM) here today.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the arrival of Her Excellency was welcomed by Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts and Minister of Youth, Sports and Sarawak Entrepreneur Development Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah’s wife Datin Sri Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.

After the arrival, Norlidah visited several exhibitions before participating in a traditional sports event held on the second floor of the museum building.

The group then participated in a multi-ethnic dance performance by the Sarawak Museum Department staff.

In addition, the eldest son of the Sabah Governor, Brigadier General Al Hambra Tun DSP Dr Juhar also had the opportunity to play the traditional ‘sape’ instrument with Ervin Kaik, a ‘sape’ player who is an employee of the Sarawak Museum Department.

The programme was also attended by the Sarawak Premier’s wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, Deputy State Secretary Datu Dr Sabaria Putit, Datin Sri Enn Ong Siok Ean, Datin Sri Baduyah Bujang as well as other dignitaries. — DayakDaily
