SERIAN, June 18: ‘Jelajah Kami Prihatin’ organised by Sarawak FM and WAIfm Bidayuh from Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) Sarawak today made a stop at Kpg Darul Islam Belimbing in Padawan.

Similar programmes have been held in Mambong, Sri Aman and Bintulu.

The event was organised as part of of RTM’s corporate social responsibility initiative to assist those in need in line with the spirit of ‘Keluarga Malaysia’.

At the event today, assistance was rendered to Darus Saat, 41, and his wife Rebecca Guno, and their two school-going children.

Darus was affected by Covid-19 and has to rely on doing odd jobs to support his family.

Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities I Datuk Willie Mongin, who officiated at the event, commended RTM’s initiative for organising such an event.

“The event is a good platform to get closer to the people, particularly those in need.

“So it is hoped that more corporate bodies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and youths in the area (Puncak Borneo) will come forward and help to identify those in need,” said Willie, who is Puncak Borneo MP. — DayakDaily
