MIRI, August 14: Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau lauded Rotary Club Miri’s efforts and commitment in helping the needy within the community.

Speaking at the joint installation with Rotary Club of Belait, Interact Club of SMK St Columba and SMK Lutong on Monday at a hotel here, he said the Rotary Club contributes to the country’s peace and economic stability.

“Continue with the good works to place unity above all,” he urged those present.

He added that the club has been always a leading example of a platform for different people to unite for the common cause of the good of mankind.

Meanwhile, he also noted that the state’s economic stability and peace would help to attract foreign investors here.

“Therefore, we must maintain peace and harmony in our country at all cost. I called on all of you to guard against divisiveness and all its ugly consequences…help our state leaders in making sure all our targets especially in developing our state is on track and achieved,” he added.
