KUCHING, July 3: The petrol prices for RON97 and RON95 for the period of July 4 to 10 will be decreased by four sen a litre.
The Finance Ministry in a press statement today said the retail price for RON97 will be decreased by four sen a litre to RM1.95 per litre.
The ministry added the retail price for RON95 will also be decreased by four sen to RM1.65 per litre.
It said the retail price for diesel will be reduced by two sen a litre to RM1.86 per litre.
The Finance Ministry explained that the reduction of the retail fuel prices was influenced by the changes in the price of refined products in line with the global crude oil prices.
It asserted that the federal government is closely monitoring the effect of changes in crude oil price and taking proactive measures to ensure the welfare of the people are taken care of. —DayakDaily
