KUCHING, March 23: The price of RON97 will decrease by 17 sen to RM3.83 per litre tomorrow, the Finance Ministry announced today.
The price for RON95 remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre, along with diesel at RM2.15 per litre for the period of March 24 to 30.
“To protect consumers from the global oil price increases, the government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre, even though the market price (derived from the automatic pricing mechanism) for RON95 and diesel has increased beyond the current ceiling price,” it said in a statement today.
The Ministry reiterated that the government would continue to monitor the trends of crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and wellbeing of the people. — DayakDaily
