Road users urged to drive cautiously during opening of Bintulu, Miri 4-way section on Mar 17

KUCHING, Mar 15: Road users are urged to drive with caution when the 4-way section of the Bintulu and Miri, Bakun Section, WPC10 Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway opens on March 17.

A notice by JKR advising road users to be careful when driving during the opening of the new 4-way section.

According to a notice issued by the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak, ‘Outstanding and Defect’ inspection works will be carried out on March 20 until March 31 on the Miri route towards Bintulu.

The notice also stated that the slow lane will be used by the inspectors to carry out the work.

“Therefore, road users are still required to obey the speed limit signs of 50km/h and 30km/h in work areas.

“The contractor will inform if there is any change in the date or area involved with these works. Road users are advised to plan their journey in the affected areas.

“We regret any inconveniences caused. Any complaints or further inquiries regarding the traffic flow, please contact the Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway Unit, JKRS at 082-230879,” it said. — DayakDaily
