Road closures in Bintulu for Malaysia Day Run on Sept 16

KUCHING, Sept 14: A few roads in Bintulu will be closed in conjunction with the Malaysia Day Run 2025 from 4am to 10am on Tuesday (Sept 16).

In a statement, Bintulu police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali said that the affected areas are the Tun Taib Mahmud Bridge as well as the road from the Tun Ahmad Zaidi Roundabout to the bridge.

He said that around 3,000 people are expected to take part in the event.

“Throughout the road closure, traffic management will be carried out by police officers. We request the public’s cooperation in being cautious and planning their journeys,” he said.

Furthermore, he stated that flying drones without approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) is illegal.

The run will start from the Bintulu Civic Centre, proceed to Jalan Pisang Raja, then to Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi, and finally cross the Tun Taib Mahmud Bridge before turning back to Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi and ending at the Bintulu Civic Centre.
