Road closure on Jln Datuk Ajibah Abol in Kuching for dismantling of tower crane from July 14-16

KUCHING, July 10: Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol, from Masjid Bandar Kuching to Kampung No 1, will be temporarily closed from July 14 to 16, 2025, to facilitate the dismantling of a tower crane at the Sg Bintangor Bridge construction site.

According to a notice issued by the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak, the closure is necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of dismantling works at the bridge site along Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol in the Kuching Division.

Motorists and members of the public are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to all traffic management measures in place during the closure.

For any inquiries regarding traffic flow, the public may contact the JKR Kuching Division Office during office hours at 082-203414.

Meanwhile, JKR informed that a partial reopening of the road will take place on July 17, 2025, with access limited to specific time slots.

The road will be open from 5am to 9am in the morning session, from 11.30am to 2pm in the midday session, and from 4.30pm to 8.30pm in the evening session.

The public is reminded to exercise caution in the construction zone for their own safety and the safety of the workers. — DayakDaily
