Road bully fined RM1,500 for causing damage to another car, stopping in the middle of Jalan Batu Kawah

KUCHING, Nov 3: The Magistrate’s Court here has fined a road bully RM1,500 after he was charged with causing damage to another car’s door in a road bully incident.

John Clancy Jiki, 29, pleaded guilty to the charge framed under Section 427 of the Penal Code before Magistrate Zubaidah Sharkawi.


Section 427 of the Penal Code carries a jailterm of not less than a year and not more than five years or a fine or both, upon conviction.

Magistrate Zubaidah fined him RM1,500 or in default to one month imprisonment.

He was found guilty of causing damage to the door of a Honda City at Jalan Batu Kawah, at about 4.20pm on Oct 30.

According to the brief facts of the case, the son of the complainant was driving the complainant’s car along Jalan Batu Kawah when suddenly his way was blocked by a Perodua Bezza.

He was forced to stop his car at the roadside, after which the accused opened the door of the car that the complainant was driving with force and damaged the car door and caused an estimated loss of RM150. — DayakDaily
