BINTULU, May 26: Three individuals sustained injuries early today when their car collided with a road barrier and flipped over at the Sungai Kemena Bridge here.
As per the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a notification of the accident at approximately 3am, prompting the dispatch of two firefighters from the Bintulu fire station to the location.
“Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that there had been a single-vehicle accident involving a blue Proton Wira car that overturned after hitting a road barrier.
“There were three victims: one was trapped under the car, and two were successfully removed by the public,” it said.
Bomba further said that the firefighters managed to extricate the trapped victim, and the injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The operation concluded around 4:10am after ensuring that the roads were safe for drivers. — DayakDaily
