KUCHING, March 12: The electrical wiring project for 26-door Rumah Panjang Nyandang in Sungai Rayah, Bintangor worth RM90,000 is complete.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the project which is under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the Meradong constituency was implemented by the Sarikei Public Works Department (JKR).
Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing, during his visit to the longhouse on Thursday (March 10), said he is glad that the wiring project has been completed.
He said it is to prevent electrical accidents due to short circuits.
Meanwhile, he also reminded that the implementation of RTP projects are carried out in stages according to the funds that have been approved by the Sarawak government each year, and the implementing agencies will appoint contractors through a draw process. ― DayakDaily
