KUCHING, April 24: The construction of the RM250,000 suspension bridge in Kampung Darul Iman in Serian, which was recently completed, would further facilitate the lives of the local community.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada said the project was allocated under the rural transformation programme (RTP) for the year 2021 for the Tebedu constituency.

He reminded the residents that the suspension bridge can carry a capacity of 30 people at one time and is passable by bicycles and motorcycles only.

Dr Simon said this during the launching ceremony of the suspension bridge and Kampung Darul Iman village security and development committee (JKKK) in Kampung Darul Iman Hall on Saturday (April 23).

Meanwhile, he presented minor rural project (MRP) grants amounting to RM45,000 to nine recipients during the ceremony. — DayakDaily
