BAU, Sept 19: The construction of the RM18 million Bidayuh Community Centre at the Bau Golden Square is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) report, Sarawak Deputy Minister of Transport (Rivers and Marine), also Tasik Biru assemblyman Dato Henry Harry Jinep, inspected the project’s progress during a working visit to the site on Friday (Sept 18).
Located at Plot 36, Block 1, Bau Golden Square, the project is being developed on a 582-square-metre site and is being implemented by the Bau District Council (MDB) as the executing agency.
The community centre is intended to provide a comfortable, multipurpose space for villagers to hold various activities, including community programmes.
The visit also focused on the project’s implementation progress to ensure construction work remains on schedule and meets the targeted completion date. — DayakDaily
