BAU, Feb 15: The construction of the new Bau district complex at a cost of RM12 million is progressing well, said Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.

He said the project had not encountered any problems and was going on smoothly.

“For the new Bau district complex, it is progressing well, no problem. The structure for the first floor is coming up and hopefully will be in time for the official opening either by year end or early next year by our Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg,” Henry told reporters today.

He had earlier attended the launching of the 50 units of Rumah Spektra Permata (RSP) in Bau located at Sibuluh in the district, officiated by Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, Dr Annuar Rapa’ee.

Henry pointed out the new complex was part of the projects for the people in Tasik Biru, in particular, apart from the bridge projects in Tondong and Buso, which according to him were also progressing very well.

“There are also other projects in Bau, like the Bau Sports Arena which has been approved by the State Planning Unit and waiting for design and the suspension bridge across the Tasik Biru lake that wil start anytime from now,” he added.

On the launching of the 50 units of RSP in Bau, he said the units were part of the total 164 units meant for the B40 group.

“The housing project is something good for the people, something positive by the state government.

“In short there are many projects for the people in Bau by the state government, being responsible in the need of the people in Bau,” he said.—DayakDaily
