RM10.5 million Tondong-Sebuku Bridge scheduled for completion by Feb 2023

KUCHING, Oct 7: The construction of the Tondong-Sebuku Bridge is expected to be completed by February 2023.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Deputy Minister of Transport, who is also Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep, said the contractor had given their assurance on the completion date.

“The project will be monitored by Public Works Department (JKR) to ensure that the project is not delayed,” he said when visiting the project site on Thursday (Oct 6).


The 120-metre bridge project crossing Sungai Sarawak Kanan, with a cost of RM10.5 million, is another Projek Rakyat by the Sarawak government in Bau.

Meanwhile, Henry disclosed that the RM15 million road upgrading works from Sebuku to Tondong were being implemented under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).

He added another RM10 million were also allocated under 12MP for road upgrading works from Buso to Musi. — DayakDaily
