MIRI, Feb 24: Several Resident Committee (RC) members sprang into action and caught a man in his 30s when a burglary alert was raised by the neighbourhood in Jalan Jati Utama in Senadin yesterday.
The suspect is believed to be a serial burglar, and his presence was spotted by alert neighbours at around 1.55pm.
When the RC team arrived at the scene, the burglar was reportedly seen with a stolen flat screen television set.
Upon realising that his presence had been detected, he tried to evade capture.
A minor scuffle ensued, and the suspect was eventually subdued, but not after two RC members were injured as the suspect was armed with a knife. — DayakDaily
