KUCHING, Nov 25: Repair works for a damaged road in Kampung Tukau Jaya in Miri are currently being carry out.
According to a report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Lambir incumbent Dr Ripin Lamat conducted a working visit to Kampung Tukau Jaya on Monday to monitor the situation.
“On Nov 18, Miri City Council (MCC) has started the repair works for the damaged road and it will take a few days to complete.
“For now, the gravel has been laid out on the road surface and the paving works will follow,” he said.
Dr Ripin also reminded the local residents in Tukau Jaya area to always be careful when using the roads, especially during the rainy season as repair works are ongoing.
Also present during the visit were Kapitan Chong Boon Shien, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Lambir branch chairman Lee Thien Hin and MCC officer Peter Ukin and Bettie. – DayakDaily.
