Rep: New Bau district office nearing completion, will be operational in May

BAU, Feb 25: The construction of the new Bau District office complex is progressing well and expected to be operational in May this year.

Tasik Biru assemblyman Dato Henry Harry Jinep said the complex is now about 70 per cent completion.

“The construction of the new Bau District office complex is doing well, at the moment the District officer (Anielia Siam) is looking into the loose furniture and wiring system.

” And by May this year, we expect it to start operating, Henry said today at a press conference.

Hhw pointed out that the RM5 million project was scheduled for completion in April was slightly delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Originally, the project is to complete in April, but due to Covid-19, it was delayed because most of the workers are from Indonesia and cannot enter the state.

“And now, they are local workers and it (the progress of project) is well managed and doing okay,” he added.

Meanwhile, Henry said himself, Anielia and Serumbu assemblyman Miro Simuh will take have a Covid-19 vaccination jab this Saturday at Singai Health clinic.

He said as an elected representative he has to be the first to convince the people in the area. -DayakDaily
