KUCHING, Oct 11: Regional Corridor of Development Authority (Recoda) chief executive officer Datu Ismawi Ismuni welcomes the allocation of RM55 million for Samalaju Industrial Park under the 2020 Budget.

“The RM55 million allocation for Samalaju Industrial Park will be used to further develop its infrastructure to further attract potential investors there,” Ismawi told DayakDaily today.

As there was a total allocation of RM1.5 billion for all the corridors of development in the country, he hoped that projects which Recoda had applied for would also be approved as the total size of Recoda spanned 100,000 square km.

“We need a continuous allocation for our projects as Recoda is the biggest among all the corridors of development in the country.

“Our corridor covers Samalaju, Mukah and Tanjung Manis and we have many projects which need continued financial allocation,” he stressed.

Among the major projects under Recoda is the new Mukah airport. — DayakDaily
