Jobless man arrested for suspected drug-related offences

The plastic packets containing crystallised substance seized.

LUNDU, Oct 11: A 22-year-old unemployed youth was arrested today during a raid on a house at Kampung Stungkor Baru for suspected drug related offences.

Sarawak Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) said in a statement that they found 32 plastic packets containing crystallised substance, believed to be syabu, inside a container in a bedroom.

The police seized the ‘syabu’ weighing about 11.75 gramme and estimated to worth about RM1,050.


The suspect was taken to the Lundu police station and he was tested positive for methamphetamine.

The case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 and Section 15 (1) (a)of the Dangerous Drug Acts 1952.— DayakDaily
