KUCHING, May 6: In conjunction with the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day (WRCD) 2020, Malaysian Red Crescent Sarawak (MRCS) is appealing to the public to join the WRCD Crowdfunding Campaign.
“The fund collected will be used for various purposes like disaster response, welfare for the needy, etc.
“With a donation of a minimum amount of RM150, donors will be rewarded with limited edition mini Darrow Bear (38cm tall), or RM300 and get Darrow Bear (50cm tall) as a token of appreciation,” MRC said in a statement.
The campaign ends on May 31, 2020.
Those who wish to take part in the campaign can choose the following options; scan Sarawak Pay QR code and enter the intended amount or bank-in to Hong Leong Bank (Malaysian Red Crescent Society 25200008814) and send the payment record to Michael 013-8200230 or Darren 016-5204959.
Donors can expect to receive their Darrow Bear by mid-July.
Meanwhile, Federation of Chinese Association of Kuching, Samarahan and Serian chairman Datuk Richard Wee in a statement said a kind-hearted donor had pledged to donate 200 goody bags with food items for MRCS blood donation campaign.
“We will hand over the donation to Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng and MRCS on May 8, 11am at Dewan Masyarakat, Jalan Padungan,” Wee said. —DayakDaily
