KUCHING, March 8: The highly anticipated Raya Street Market at The Podium has officially opened its doors, bringing the vibrant spirit of Ramadan to life with an exciting array of local delicacies, festive fashion, and cultural experiences.
According to a media release today, the grand opening ceremony was officiated by Batu Kitang assemblyman Dato Lo Khere Chiang, marking the start of a lively, community-driven marketplace in celebration of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
With a total of 32 diverse vendors, the market showcases a variety of traditional and contemporary Raya goodies, including handmade crafts, artisanal fashion, and delicious Ramadan specialties.
In addition to promoting local entrepreneurs, the market also champions sustainability, encouraging the use of reusable packaging and eco-friendly practices in line with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Visitors can immerse themselves in live cultural performances, interactive workshops, and festive giveaways, making the event a must-visit destination for families and shoppers preparing for the Raya celebrations.
The Raya Street Market will be open until tomorrow, operating from 10am to 10pm, offering a unique shopping and cultural experience for both locals and visitors.
