KUCHING, Jan 29: The Rakyat Xcess and Ar-Rahnu X’Change Bank Rakyat in Lundu will benefit the 36,000 residents and the surrounding areas and help drive Sarawak towards the aspiration of becoming a developed State by 2030, said Santubong MP Dato Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.

According to Wan Junaidi, Sarawak also wants to focus on rural economic development.

“In line with this aspiration, the provision of these services will certainly drive the development of local economic sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and micro and small and medium enterprises (SMEs),” he said.

Wan Junaidi said this in his speech during the launching ceremony of Rakyat Xcess and Ar-Rahnu X’Change Bank Rakyat held in Lundu today.

Wan Junaidi, also Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law), believed that the Rakyat Xcess and Ar-Rahnu X’Change Lundu Bank Rakyat would also help bridge the gap between rural and urban areas in terms of providing basic banking facilities. — DayakDaily
