KUCHING, April 10: Out of the seven dog bite cases in Taman Stapok, five from one family are bitten by a rabid dog.
This is according to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Tan Kai, who also disclosed that as of March 25 (12th epic week), there are 23 animal bite cases involving dogs and cats.
Among the 10 MPP areas where dog bite cases are registered are Kampung Quap, Jalan Field Force, Jalan Ulu Shan Bang, Jalan Sungai Moyan, Kampung Semeba, Jalan Batu Kitang, Kampung Mambong, Kampung SPS Desa Wira, Taman Desa Wira, and Taman Stapok; the last area recorded the highest number of bite cases at seven.
Kampung Desa Wira, Kampung SPS Desa Wira, and Jalan Batu Kitang area come second with two cases each.
Other affected areas register one case each.
Meanwhile, four areas under MPP, namely Kampung Kolong, Taman Sasa, Jalan Sungai Tengah, and Taman How Ching, registered one cat bite case respectively. — DayakDaily
