KUCHING, Jan 10: Even more than six months after the passing of Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, the love of the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, remains as strong and steadfast as ever.
According to a post on Sarawakku social media today, the couple shared 48 years of marriage, building a life together filled with shared joys, challenges, and countless memories.
Her passing, while deeply felt, has not diminished the bond between them; instead, it continues to live on in every prayer, memory, and step the Premier takes.
Almost every Friday morning, before beginning his official duties, the Premier quietly visits her grave at the Semariang Islamic Cemetery in Kuching. There, he offers prayers and reflects on a lifetime shared with a partner who walked beside him through nearly five decades of life’s journey.
Last Friday, he made the visit accompanied by their beloved daughter, Dayang Norjihan. The intimate moment, simple yet profound, illustrated the Premier’s unwavering devotion and highlighted the importance of family and enduring love in his life.
The calm and reverent atmosphere at the gravesite spoke volumes of the Premier’s heartfelt connection to his late wife, a love that transcends the divide between this world and the next.
In this quiet act of remembrance, he sends a clear message: true love does not end with separation. It continues to live on through prayer, loyalty, and cherished memories that remain etched in the heart.
This touching gesture serves as a reminder that even in the midst of public life and the demands of leadership, the bonds of family and love remain at the core of the Premier’s life, a devotion that time cannot fade. — DayakDaily
