KUCHING, May 19: The storeroom of a house at RPR Tanjung Kidurong in Bintulu caught fire, causing a woman to suffer burns to her back.
In a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) report, an emergency call was received at 7.33am today, and firefighters from the Kidurong station were deployed.

The operations commander noted that the public managed to put out the blaze before firefighters arrived.
“The fire involved a storeroom measuring 8×10 feet near the kitchen, and was approximately 10 per cent damaged.
“The woman suffered minor burns to her back and received treatment at the scene,” said the report.
Firefighters then conducted overhaul work and secured the situation before returning to the station. — DayakDaily
