KUCHING, Dec 24: Sarawakians including their spouses and children below the age of 18 within Malaysia who are fully vaccinated can enter Sarawak without needing to apply for entry, show proof of a negative Covid-19 test and serve quarantine.
In the latest standard operating procedures (SOP) for travel within Malaysia, this also applies for fully vaccinated government servants and private sector employees based in Sarawak including their family members.
However, all travellers are required to fill in the e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF) upon arrival in Sarawak as well as preparing the necessary documents to be inspected by airline crews prior to flying into Sarawak.
Apart from a completed Covid-19 vaccination certificate, government servants and private sector employees need to bring along a letter from their head of department or company, a valid work permit (restricted travel document) as well as marriage and birth certificates, a copy of their MyKad and MyKid if travelling with spouses, family members and children.
Young children ineligible for vaccination travelling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians will also be exempted from quarantine.
For travellers with incomplete vaccination or those unvaccinated due to medical reasons, they will need to serve a mandatory quarantine for 10 days at designated facilities and Covid-19 swab test to be taken on the seventh or eighth day. — DayakDaily
