MIRI, May 27: A man staying at Jalan Miri Pujut received a big shock this evening when he discovered a two-metre long python snoozing in a poultry pen in his backyard.
The reptile’s distended belly and the fact that one of the man’s chickens was missing were dead giveaways as to what had happened earlier.
A team of three Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel rushed to the scene in response to an alert at 6.34pm. They managed to capture the reptile and the operation ended at 7.07pm, without any injuries reported.
Sources added, nearly 10 chickens were kept inside the poultry pen. — DayakDaily
