According to Sufian, who is also the chairman of the Limbang District Council, Mr Kiron also achieved a milestone by winning the Best Neuter Adult and Best Overall Adult awards, earning him the double title of Master GCPR.

“Mr Kiron has inherited the success of his father, Mr Lloyd Kirbeaitycoon, who held the national champion title for four consecutive years,” he said when met at the Limbang Fun Fair on Sunday (June 29).

He added that Mr Lloyd, now six years old, also holds the Master GCCH title and was once crowned Best Overall Cat in a competition in the Philippines last year.

Sufian said another one of his cats, Putra Aryan’s Kitkat, also drew the judges’ attention in the same competition.

“Although Mr Kiron looks fierce, he is very tame and approachable. He is one of over 60 Maine Coons we have raised at home under our business, Putra Catnya, in Kampung Sayong for the past seven years,” he said.

At the Limbang Fun Fair, Mr Kiron was also featured as the main attraction, entertaining visitors and giving fans the chance to take photos with him.

In addition to local fans from Limbang and Lawas, fans from Brunei also seized the opportunity to capture memories with the affectionate and friendly Mr Kiron. — DayakDaily
