KUCHING, Feb 23: Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Well-Being Development, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah hopes that more members of the public will apply for government assistance through their award-winning online platform, iSarawakCare.
Fatimah revealed that one of the many functions of the platform is to allow online applications for services and assistance provided by the ministry.
“The online platform allows members of the public to apply for several initiatives undertaken by the Sarawak government, such as financial assistance for new mothers, endowment fund, grants, gold card applications and many more,” she revealed.
“The good thing is that when it is digital, one can apply at any time for as long as there is an internet connection. It is always accessible,” she added.
She told reporters this during a press conference held in the lobby of Wisma Bapa Malaysia.
Earlier, Fatimah revealed she met Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg about the ministry’s iSarawakCare system that won the London Design Awards under the category of Digital Government Services in London on Dec 6, 2022.
She said that the system was co-developed together with Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) and the State Service Modernisation Unit (SSMU), and SOCOE Sdn Bhd.
“We hope members of the public can register with the app so that they could be notified of all types of grants and assistance they are eligible for under the ministry over their lifespan.
“The app can improve management efficiency, greatly promote synergy between different departments, and improve the efficiency of overall service delivery,” she said. — DayakDaily
