KUCHING, Sept 5: The 18th Kuching Inter-Cultural Mooncake Festival will be held this Sept 6-13 at the renowned Carpenter Street.

Organised by the Federation of Kuching Division Community Associations and Old Market Community Association, the organisers are extending invitations to all Kuchingites to take part in the celebration with all the artistic, cultural, traditional or modern performers and entertainers.

“All are invited to the festival, which is often viewed as the longest street party in Kuching to promote the feasting of sights, sounds and a multitude of taste.

“It has become a signature event in the city and is eagerly awaited by Kuchingites, be it stall holders, performers, participants or visitors.

“We strive to showcase as many ethnic cultures as possible in all their glory displayed through their colours, music and food,” said festival co-organising chairman Sim Kiang Chiok in a statement today.

With backing from the state government and business community, the 8-day celebration will start from 6 to 11pm. — DayakDaily
