KUCHING, June 2: The Form Three Assessment (PT3) examination has been abolished effective this year, says Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin.
He said PT3 exams have been cancelled for the years 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“In 1993, PMR (Penilaian Menengah Rendah) was introduced and PT3 in 2014. In 2020 and 2021, PT3 was not implemented.
“Many must be wondering what will happen with PT3 this year. So, we have decided to abolish it. There will be no more PT3 exams starting this year,” he said during a press conference broadcast live on his social media page today.
Instead, Radzi said the ministry would continue to improve school-based assessment (PBS) and classroom-based assessment (PBD) which have been adopted by schools in Malaysia for some time now. — DayakDaily
