KUCHING, March 22: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Batu Lintang deputy chief Desmond Kho has resigned with immediate effect from the party.

In a press statement today, he said his resignation was apolitical as he was resigning to focus on his legal practice.

ā€œThis is to inform that I, Desmond Kho have resigned as Deputy Chairman of PSB N.11 Batu Lintang Branch, all other party posts and also my membership of Party Sarawak Bersatu with immediate effect.

ā€œTo be clear, my resignation is apolitical as I am leaving politics to concentrate on legal practice and I shall not be joining any other political party,ā€ said Kho.

Kho said he has had the honour and privilege of working with his fellow activists in striving to make Malaysia a better place but he found he no longer could devote the time needed to continue to serve.

He asserted no one was indispensable and he was confident that there were others who were willing to step up and continue, if not prosper the office he vacated.

ā€œI wish all my ex-comrades all success in the future and would like to record my appreciation for their cooperation and understanding during our times together.

ā€œTo those that I may have disappointed or aggrieved along the way, let me say that it was never intentional and you have my sincere apologies.

ā€œI will always remain grateful to the kind people of Sarawak especially the community of N.11 Batu Lintang for their kind indulgence, patience and understanding,ā€ said Kho. ā€” DayakDaily
