KUCHING, Sept 21: PRS Youth delivered food items and other aid to the victims of the Rumah Naga fire, in Rassau, Engkilili yesterday.
Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Youth secretary Bit Surang handed over the aid on behalf of the wing’s chief Datuk Snowdan Lawan who was unable to be there personally as he had other commitments in his constituency of Balai Ringin.
The delivery was done in collaboration with non-governmental organisations Padawan 4×4 Club, Serian Offroader Community and Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) Youth Siol Kandis.
“The food items which were delivered comprised rice, cooking oil, drinking water, flour, sugar, coffee, tea, instant noodles and biscuits. I wish to extend my appreciation to all donors,” Bit revealed in a statement today.
The convoy consisted of 17 four-wheel drive vehicles.
Current, the fire victims are staying at a relief centre near the longhouse.
Also present during the visit were Cr Roy Gingkoi, Cr Samuel Kuek, Cr Larkin Gol, and former Cr Temeling Jua. — DayakDaily
