Protestors march to MACC office to lodge report over TYT’s alleged corruption

MIRI, June 6: PKR Baram chief Roland Engan on Wednesday led a group of some 200 supporters comprising representatives of various non-governmental organisations to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office here at Jalan Cahaya Openg to lodge a report against Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud for alleged corruption.

According to Roland, the group also handed over documents pertaining to the alleged corruption allegations.

The group arrived at the MACC office at Bangunan Persekutuan here at 3pm.


The group is seen staging a peaceful demonstration outside Bangunan Persekutuan in Miri.

Upon arrival, they staged a peaceful demonstration outside the building while chanting, “Siasat Taib” (investigate Taib) and holding banners.

The group dispersed at 4.25pm without any incident.

Last week, Roland also led a group to Miri central police station and lodged a report against Taib over the latter’s alleged corruption. — DayakDaily
