Prime Minister arrives in Kuching for 1-day working visit

KUCHING, March 30: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has arrived in Kuching for a one day working visit.

According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the Prime Minister and his entourage landed safely at Kuching International Airport (KIA) at 2.05pm accompanied by Health Minister Datuk Dzulkefly Ahmad and Ministry of Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek and others from Kuala Lumpur.

His arrival was welcomed by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg together with Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Federal Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Dato Sri Nancy Shukri and Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend a briefing programme on Sarawak development which will be held at the Department of Drainage and Irrigation (DID) Kota Samarahan branch office follow by a walkabout at Bazaar Ramadan in Desa Ilmu.

In the evening, Anwar will be attending the State-level Breaking of Fast Madani that will be held in Al-Mutaqqin Mosque in Kota Samarahan.

He is expected to return to Kuala Lumpur at 8.20pm. — DayakDaily
